Last week was a wild and incredible week! Our very first VBS was a huge success. We had 58 kids from our church and community with 9 kids accepting Jesus into their hearts. That is something to praise Jesus for! We sang songs, did experiments, played games, got wet and had a blast all week long.
In addition to all the kids, we had over 30 adults and youth helping to make this week great. From building sets to throwing water balloons, the VBS team made this week so memorable for each kid. Without their investment we would not have been able to make it happen. If you were part of this team thank you, thank you, thank you!
Kids and youth are the church of today and the lessons that they are learning will be with them for a lifetime. No matter what twists and turns life throws at them the truths that are sown through experiences like this will always be with them. I remember sitting at the edge of my bed with my dad at 5 years old accepting Jesus into my heart for the first time. Yes, I made plenty of mistakes growing up but Jesus had been rooted within me and He kept me coming back.
It is so exciting to be a part of a church community that is so focused on all ages. From the youngest to the oldest we are all precious in His sight and He deserves our very best. The very best was pulled out for our kids in every way last week and it was so great to be a part of with so many of you!
Don’t miss out on the brand new series “Superheroes” that will start this week in both the adult services and kids. Family Camp is the on the weekend of August 12-14th and space is still available. Remember, services will not be at our normal location but will be held at 10:30am at Richardson Campground on the Fernridge reservoir.
Have an amazing week,
