This weather is more like Michigan than Salem. Snow, slosh, and getting stuck is what we're experiencing this season. I hope you had a memorable Sunday, January 8th. Stacey and I sat by the fire, read Scriptures, journaled, prayed, watched a lot of football, and made the best of a snowy day. We missed being with you, and we look forward to this Sunday, January 15, as we meet again for Celebration Services at 9 & 11am.
Some of you are aware of Gateway's 21 Days of fasting and prayer (Jan 9-30).Friends, it's not too late to begin the journey. Attached is a helpful guide for the PURSUE 21 Day Fast (click here). During this season, I have asked Gateway leaders to share what God is revealing and what they're believing for breakthrough in during the fast. We will send an encouraging email on Wednesdays and Fridays during the Fast. Isaiah the Prophet said it best in chapter 43, verse 18 - "Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it?"
Looking to Jesus,
“Day three and I am very aware that I have set aside my normal activities to focus on Jesus! My stomach is grumbling, but my spirit is more alive than ever. Turning off the TV is difficult, but the creativity in how else to spend my time has opened the door to so much more. The fast has already created space for catching up on books that I have wanted to finish, experiencing some unique moments with the family, and finding a greater depth in my Jesus time throughout the day. All because of a change in my routine!” Aaron
