Like the cold of snow in the time of harvest are faithful messengers to those who send them;
 they refresh the spirit... Proverbs 25:13 NRSV

On Monday, at my house in south Salem, we had more than 3" of snow.  As a native Oregonian, I don't remember snow in March ever.  However, according to the Oregon Climate Services at Oregon State University, Oregon has experienced snow in March.  There were eight days of measurable snowfall in 1951, but the highest March snowfall in Salem was on March 2, 1960, when 6.7 inches fell. You may be like me and enjoy the white-fluffy stuff, or all this winter-wonderland in March may be a big inconvenience to you?

Either way friends, we don't control the weather, but we do know the One who does.  May you be encouraged and refreshed by the Creator this week.  With all the pure, white snow, it does remind me of what Christ has done for my sins.

Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.                   (Psalm 51:7)
