Gateway Friends

Gateway Friends -

This is a BIG week for our family.  Tomorrow, our youngest son, Daniel, will graduate from Nursing School at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ.  In addition, his fiancée, Kenna James, graduates with a degree in Education for Teaching.  On Friday, my long journey of graduate school culminates with graduation ceremonies in Portland.  Being a life-long learner is an important value for our entire family.  Even though my Masters in Theological Studies will be formally recognized by Professors and Peers this week, I know my journey is still ongoing and full of more discovery. (Philippians 3:12-14)

During this adventure, Gateway has been patient, gracious, generous, and merciful as I pursued my studies.  Thank you for extending such care, compassion, and support.  Your prayers and cheers along the way have certainly helped.  Special thanks to the Gateway Staff for your unwavering diligence, focus, service, and leadership.  The entire Gateway community has been terrific!  I love our church and all that God is stirring.  May I add one more gigantic note of gratitude to my life partner, wife of 30 years this July, co-shepherd/pastor, and kingdom advancer -- Stacey Schaub.

This Sunday, we will finale the YOU ASKED FOR IT sermon series at 9 & 11.  Hopefully, your questions are being answered.  We dove into challenging topics: Where was Jesus on Saturday (the day between crucifixion and resurrection / 1 Peter 3).  How does the Church 'handle' Mental Health (1 John 1:5).  Overcoming addiction (Romans 6).  This Sunday, we will tackle three more questions with our Panel of Preachers.

Grateful,

Greg
