Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you. You live this way already, and we encourage you to do so even more. 1 Thessalonians 4:1 NLT
s usual, the Holy Spirit nudged me during devotions. Last week, the Psalms were nudging (Ps 23, 27, 91, 121, 139). This week, Thessalonians Chapter 4 has been nudging. Scripture is certainly alive and active and able to spur-me on. Urge is the key word this week. Urge means: to earnestly or persistently persuade. I believe the Holy Spirit urges us and nudges us to please the Father. A couple ways I am putting the 'urge' into practice includes: watching my words and tone; adjusting my attitude toward gratitude instead of complaint. My prayer for you this week is that the Holy Spirit will nudge/urge you with the Holy Scriptures. Be encouraged and equipped.
