Youth Group at Gateway

Our youth group is a place where students can build authentic relationships, grow in their faith, and be equipped to share Jesus with the world. Through engaging discussions, worship, and fun activities, we create a space where young people can ask questions, deepen their understanding of God, and find a supportive community.

Youth Mission Statement

“To connect with students in the Salem area so they become disciples of Jesus that intentionally know Him, and are well equipped to go and tell others about Him.”

We are all about JESUS! He will be at the center of everything that we learn and do.

We will experience powerful worship together, profound teaching, and practical workshops that will help our students to practice their faith in tangible ways when they get home! We have a deep desire for our students to return home with more than just a “camp high.” We want our students to experience God’s love, build deeper relationships with their peers, and have an unforgettable amount of fun!

This year our camp will be located at Grove Christian Camp in Dorena, Oregon. It is a beautiful location just down the road from Dorena Lake. There is a swimming area right on the camp property as well as a variety of spaces for activities! The camp is equipped with an indoor gym and game room, a rock climbing wall, an archery and ax throwing range, and large fire pit area, and more!

We can’t wait to make memories together!

Meet the Youth Group Leader

Aaron Mireles

As the Executive Pastor at Gateway, Aaron finds many areas to use his creativity and passion for Jesus and life. Whether speaking on a Sunday, loving on our youth, leading the staff or remodeling the facility, Aaron’s enthusiasm comes through.

Aaron, his wife Sarah, and their 3 children, Siena, Max and Sophia, came to Oregon and Gateway from California, where he had served on staff for over 8 years. When he’s not at church, Aaron loves to golf, workout, or go hiking and kayaking with his family.
